Introduction

The Guides hub is the starting point for every WARDOGS player. Here you will find beginner walkthroughs that explain what WARDOGS is, how the 100-player three-team All-Out Warfare mode works, and what you should do in your first few matches. New players should begin with the beginner guide, which covers the closed beta and Early Access launch, the flow of a match, objectives, scoring and the cash economy that shapes every decision. From there you can branch into loadout building, vehicle tactics and class roles. Every guide is written to answer a real question new and returning players ask, from keybinds and settings to how to capture the Control Zone and how to win a match. Use the featured guides below to plan your path, then explore the full article list for deeper dives into specific systems.

S

Beginner Guide

new

The essential starting point — every new player should read this first.

CoversWhat WARDOGS is, the closed beta and Early Access dates, your first match, controls, objectives and the cash economy. It answers the question every beginner asks first: what do I do when I spawn in?
Why ReadIt gives you the complete picture of the game in one place, so you understand the three-team Control Zone objective before you ever worry about meta loadouts or advanced tactics.
Next StepAfter the beginner guide, move on to the Loadouts Guide to learn how to spend your $10,000 starting cash effectively.
A

Loadouts Guide

How to spend your cash on weapons, gear and vehicles.

CoversThe complete loadout system — weapons, gear, utility and vehicles — and how to build a custom kit that fits your playstyle while keeping your persistent cash safe for future lives.
Why ReadLoadouts are bought every life, so understanding costs and value is the single biggest skill in WARDOGS. This guide shows you where to start and how to adapt on the fly.
Budget TipKeep a cheap reserve loadout for early fights and save cash for the late game, where vehicles and top-tier weapons matter most.
A

Cash Economy Guide

Earn, save and spend — the economy that makes WARDOGS unique.

CoversHow to earn cash through revives, transport and objective control, the double-cash Hot Zone, and how your balance persists from match to match.
Why ReadCash is the core resource. Players who master earning and saving out-earn and out-gear players who ignore the economy, regardless of aim.
Key RuleTeamplay pays — revive, transport and hold objectives and your wallet grows while you help the team win.
B

Vehicles Guide

From supply helicopters to artillery tanks.

CoversEvery vehicle class in WARDOGS — helicopters for transport and supply, artillery tanks for destruction, light vehicles for logistics, and the fighter jets planned for Early Access.
Why ReadVehicles change the battlefield. Learning to crew them and counter them opens up combined arms tactics that infantry-only squads cannot match.
WarningVehicles are team assets — coordinate with your squad before spawning one, and always have an Engineer ready to repair.

Core Mechanics

The core loop of WARDOGS revolves around the Control Zone. Each match, 100 players are split into three teams and fight for control of a randomized 2x2km zone in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe. The team with the most players inside the zone earns points over time, and the first team to 100 points wins the match. Between spawns you buy a custom loadout with persistent cash, coordinate with your squad through proximity voice chat, and use vehicles, fortifications and the double-cash Hot Zone to press your advantage. Mastery comes from understanding the economy first — your cash persists between matches, so every revive, transport run and objective hold compounds into long-term power that translates into better weapons, gear and vehicles in later fights.

Advantages

The Guides hub makes WARDOGS approachable from the first minute. New players can read a single beginner guide and understand the mode, the objective and the economy before their first spawn, which removes the overwhelming first-match experience common in large tactical FPS titles. Returning players get clear, structured answers to specific questions — how to earn cash fastest, which loadouts fit each playstyle, how to counter vehicles and what the Hot Zone is really worth. The hub is organized by player journey, so the content flows from your first match to advanced tactics without overwhelming anyone, and every guide links to the related loadouts, weapons and class content you will need next.

Challenges

The main challenge of a guides hub is keeping information current during Early Access. WARDOGS is a pre-release title, so weapon stats, vehicle details and economy numbers may change as BULKHEAD ships balance patches, which means older guides can become outdated quickly. Some advanced systems — the Black Market, the Vault and Player Skills — are only partially revealed, so deep-dive guides must clearly separate confirmed facts from community speculation. Readers should always cross-check the latest news in the News category before committing cash in game, and returning players should re-read loadout and tier-list guides after major updates to stay current.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should a brand new player start?+
Read the Beginner Guide first. It explains what WARDOGS is, how the closed beta and Early Access work, and exactly what to do in your first All-Out Warfare match. Then read the Loadouts Guide so you understand how to spend your $10,000 starting cash. Together they cover the two things that trip up every new player: understanding the objective and managing the economy.
What is the fastest way to learn WARDOGS?+
Learn the economy before the gunplay. Understanding how to earn cash through revives, transport and objective control gives you a huge advantage, because cash persists between matches and buys you better loadouts over time. Play your first few matches as a Medic or transport role — you will learn the map, the objectives and the economy simultaneously while actively helping your team.
How often are the guides updated?+
We update guides whenever BULKHEAD ships significant changes — balance patches, new weapons, new vehicles or roadmap milestones. During Early Access the game evolves frequently, so we recommend checking the News category for patch coverage and re-reading the loadout and tier-list guides after major updates. Each guide shows its last-updated date so you can judge how current the information is.

Quick Tips

💡

Spend your first few lives learning the map layout and objective flow rather than chasing kills, because positional knowledge compounds into every future match you play. Once you know where the Control Zone can spawn, where the chokepoints funnel and where the Hot Zone rotates, every single decision you make becomes faster and smarter.

💡

Always keep at least $1,000 of cash in reserve so you can afford a vehicle or a strong loadout when the match swings in your favor. The persistent economy rewards patience and restraint, and a full wallet in the late game lets you field the gear that wins the final fight.

💡

Use proximity voice chat to call out the Hot Zone rotation and coordinate the push with your whole squad before anyone moves. A coordinated group that enters the Hot Zone together earns double cash safely, while solo players who wander in simply feed the enemy economy and waste their own loadout on a pointless death.
